Abhinayam is a refreshing and playful new bharatanatyam training for aspiring dancers, performers and early career teachers.

Through play-based learning you will discover, explore and expand upon your intuitive bharatanatyam movement to broaden understanding of how your individual body and personality naturally expresses rhythm, emotion, and storytelling.

Practical sessions are followed by informal conversation and discussions on performance opportunities, grants, and networks to grow as a dancer.

Who is it for?

For any bharatanatyam dancer with more than 5 years training and over the age of 18.

Who is leading?

This workshop is delivered by Altered Skin and facilitated by Shane Shambhu, in partnership with FABRIC’s Yuva Gati, Centre for Advanced Training.

Shane works nationally and internationally as a dancer, actor, award-winning choreographer, director and writer and is the Creative Director of Altered Skin.
