Sung Im Her (Seoul, South-Korea) obtained a master’s degree in contemporary dance at Hansung University. In 2004, she moved to Brussels, Belgium to study at P.A.R.T.S., the acclaimed contemporary dance school led by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.  

After graduating in 2006, she started working with Jan Fabre/Troubleyn, Les ballets C de la B and Needcompany in Belgium.  

In Parallel Sung Im Her has been creating works of her own, starting with Philia (2012), En-trance (2013) and Tuning (2014) ‘You Are Okay!’(2016). She moved to London in 2016. 

In 2019, she created two new works: ‘NUTCRUSHER’ and ‘W.A.Y’. Both works were commissioned by the Korean Arts Council and premiered at the renowned ARKO Arts Theater in Seoul. With NUTCRUSHER she was elected by the Korean Arts Council as Best Emerging Artist of 2019. NUTCRUSHER was also selected for Aerowaves’21and in 2022 was a part of Horizon showcase, presented during Edinburgh Fringe Festival where She received 5 stars review by The Skinny. In 2021, Sung Im Her dance piece ‘W.A.Y’(re-work) premiered at ‘The Place’ in London and received four star review by The Guardian.  

Last year, Sung Im Her created “Everything Falls Dramatic” for Korean National Contemporary Dance Company and toured in Seoul, Madrid, Brussels, Manchester and London. This year, Sung Im Her received “Dance Artist of the year in 2022” by Korean Ministry of culture and recently named as one of ten “Stage sensations to watch out for in 2023” by the Guardians.

Martha is a dance artist from Greece. She holds a BA in dance by the Professional Dance School of N. Kontaxaki in Athens, a Chemistry degree by the National University of Athens, and an MA in Performance by London Contemporary Dance School. Her practice lies on the design of improvisation scores, the observation of performer’s experiential journey, and the embodiment of  the conscious and subconscious interrelations.  

Since 2010 she has worked with choreographers such as Wally Cardona, Robert Clark, Eva Recacha, Sung Im Her, Pietro Marullo, Michael Klien, Seke Chimutengende, Leila McMillan, Roberta Jean, Requardt & Rosenberg and with the artists Tino Sehgal (Palais de Tokyo/ Athens Roman Agora/ Tate Modern), Stefanos Tsivopoulos (Kalfayan Galleries) and Marina Abramovic (Benaki Museum/ Serpentine Gallery).  She has received scholarships by A. Onassis, I. Kostopoulos and Schilizzi Foundations and in 2015 she was a Danceweb scholarship recipient by Impulstanz international dance festival in Vienna.  

In 2017, along with Aris Papadopoulos, they created the company arisandmartha as the artistic collaboration between the two, exploring togetherness on stage and experimenting with movement and performative language under different conceptual ideas. They have created the works touching.just (Aerowaves 2018), Five Steps to Save the World (2018), Lucy. tutorial for a ritual (Athens & Epidaurous Festival 2019), ALL THAT MATTER or notes on performing friendship (2022) and OUT OF SPRING (2022).
