FABRIC’s Contemporary strands of the Centres for Advanced Training (CAT) provide access to high-quality training opportunities and spaces for young people aged between 11-18 years with exceptional potential in dance.

Young people can be aged 11-16 years when joining the scheme or up to 23 years if d/Deaf or Disabled. Training can continue until age 18 or up to 25 years if d/Deaf or disabled.

Training takes place at weekends during term time and also in the form of intensives and residencies during the holidays. Students are supported to learn, explore and develop by some of the UK’s most inspiring dance professionals.

Our aim is to empower our students and allow them to take ownership of their own learning and development as future artists.

We have a programme delivered in Birmingham for young people from across the West Midlands and a programme delivered in Nottingham for young people from the East Midlands.
