Alongside Inspire Youth Arts, we’ve teamed up with Nottingham based company, Next Door Dance, to bring you MoveMore. A helpful resource to get young bodies and minds moving and thinking creatively.

During the pandemic it’s understandable young people may be moving less, doing a lot more sitting at their desks and staying indoors. It’s important for a child’s mental and physical health, that they keep active and moving.

MoveMore offers a selection of videos and creative tasks which can be done in the classroom or at home and helps address the problem of limited space. MoveMore is made up of short 5 to 15 minute videos or tasks you can incorporate into lesson plans or use to wake up bodies and get the mind thinking creatively. The activities are split across four different categories which are:

  • sitting at a desk
  • standing at a desk
  • more room (if you have access to a larger space)
  • working with others (activities that can be done in pair/groups whilst socially distancing)

This is a FREE resource which can be used with young people in schools or at home. The MoveMore team also offer further support called ‘Beyond MoveMore’ which offers face to face sessions, virtual dance sessions and also CPD training for teachers. Full details about this can also be found in the MoreMore Dance sessions resource below.

If you would like to enquire about the Beyond MoveMore opportunities or would like to share any feedback you can do so by either emailing Next Door Dance or emailing info@fabric.dance
