As part of our FABRIC International programme, we offer support to dance artists from England, to realise international invitations through support for mobility funds and reducing financial barriers to collaborations abroad.

Eligibility for Presenting Artist/Company 

• You’re based in England 

• You work in Dance and Choreography 

• You’re an independent artist (i.e. not a National Portfolio Organisation)  

• You’ve been invited directly and have a confirmed international partner/presenter

• You’ve not received onward touring support from FABRIC in the last 12 months

• The proposal aligns with what we can and cannot support as below.

 We will support: 

• International presentations, or residencies with future presentation opportunities that have been invited by an international partner.
  

• Costs associated with reaching an international presenter e.g international travel, visas, mandatory vaccinations, freight.

• Costs to incentivise other presenters in the region to attend performances or R&D sharings.

 We can’t support:  

• Fees. We expect these to be covered by your international partner/presenter.

• In-country costs such as accommodation, per diems, marketing, costs for rebuilding set or participation activities. We expect these to be covered by your international partner/presenter. 

• Activity that’s already received support from Here & Now Showcase. Dance artists who are eligible for Here & Now support and align to FABRIC’s eligibility outlined above. You can apply for onward touring support from both FABRIC and Here & Now, but not for the same activity. 

• International activity that has or will receive support from Arts Council England for the same purpose/activity. Our investment is also from Arts Council England so this would constitute double funding.
  

 How much can you apply for  

You can apply for up to £3,500. We have a financial allocation each year and we are always striving to increase it, and spend it, so it fluctuates.

Deadlines

We welcome applications on a rolling basis until the annual budget has been spent. Please email in advance to ask if there is any budget left in the current year before you apply. 

Selection

Applications will be assessed against the eligibility criteria, the strength of the rationale for investment and the available budget.
