We are delighted to announce the artists who will be joining the mentoring initiative programme with Gary Clarke this Autumn.

This exciting new programme started in Spring 2021 and aims to be creative, thought-provoking, rewarding and empowering.

Artists will benefit from mentoring with award-winning artist Gary Clarke to explore their artistic vision and interests, choreographic voice and next steps in their journey as a creative artist

Jessica Catherine

Based in Birmingham, Jessica has danced and performed on contracts internationally including in countries such as Greece and India. She has also worked for companies such as ThickSkin Theatre, Playing Together and Autin Dance Theatre. More recently Jessica has been dancing and performing circus skills and physical theatre at Alton Towers Resort. She has a broad skillset; including Contemporary dance, physical theatre, gymnastics, synchronised swimming, fire performing, hula hooping, aerial hoop and poi and, have performed around the UK, both individually and as part of a company.

Mansi Dabral

Mansi is a freelance Kathak dance artist, performer, choreographer, Kathak tutor at Morley College London and runs Mansi Dabral Kathak Dance Academy. She trained forn13 years at Kathak Kendra, New Delhi India, received “Shringaar Mani”, national award for Kathak & National scholarship in India. Mansi has worked with creative partners like Akademi, Beeja, South Asian Arts UK, Kala Sangam, SBDC, Annapurna Indian dance company & DanceXchange. Her recent work includes the short dance film “Twin headed bird” based on an Ancient Indian story presented in contemporary narrative commissioned by  Annapurna Indian Dance Company, a project funded by ACE, ‘Kanyaa – the daughter’ about the role of woman & the importance of gender equality, premiered at Leap.
