Fabric is delighted to announce the 2026-2027 artists, who will be exploring new ideas and developing projects through our residency programme.

Reflecting our ambitious vision to inspire people through dance, transforming lives, communities and places, these substantial new residencies are part of our strategy to improve the working conditions of artists and to invest in new research and creation that will engage and resonate with audiences in fresh and different ways.

This year, our call outs received over 200 applications from artists across the UK and we are grateful to everyone who took time to submit their ideas. After a rigorous selection process, managed by Fabric producers and external partners and funders, ten artists and companies have been selected to receive bursaries, studio space and staff support.

The range of artists and ideas within our residency programme is genuinely exciting. It is a privilege to share our time and space with artists and their ideas where no doubt the future of dance is actively being shaped by inspired artists and their collaborators
