U.Dance is the national programme of events offering high quality dance opportunities to young people.

Each year, our nation’s young dancers can explore their creativity, learn more about dance careers, and experience the thrill and sense of achievement of performing. One Dance UK works with partners to deliver and support U.Dance events all over the country.

We welcome and encourage groups who create dance pieces in all genres, such as hip hop/street dance styles, jazz and theatre styles, ballet, South Asian dance, contemporary dance, dance of the African Diaspora, folk dance, you name it – U.Dance is for everyone!

One Dance UK and all U.Dance partners are committed to offering opportunities for young people to access high quality dance experiences. We want applications to best reflect the commitment and creativity of your work. Groups and individuals from a variety of settings are welcome to take part. You may find after such a turbulent period, working towards a performance opportunity like the U.Dance Regional Platforms and/or National Festival will provide a welcome sense of achievement for your dancers.

Dance4 worked with regional partners to host live events between March and April 2022. Events took place in Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Corby and Lincoln.
