Waacking and Vogue Open
Thu 19th Sep 2024 to Thu 5th Dec 2024, various times
Thursday
This class alternates between Vogue one week and Waacking the other week, led by Eric Scutaro.
Learn two dance styles that encourage a community which helps create safe spaces, confidence, security, attitude and positivity.
Waacking was created in the LGBT clubs of Los Angeles during the ‘70s disco era. Distinguished by its rotational arm movements, musicality, posing and emphasis on expressiveness. Voguing is a highly stylised, modern house dance originating in the late ’80s. Today it’s a global phenomenon with three distinct styles: Old Way; New Way and Vogue Fem.
This class welcomes all levels of experience of waacking or vogue and those wanting to try it for the first time.
Delivered in partnership with Queerside
