Jump Start Taster Session

Mon 6th Jul 2026, 4:30pm

Location: Nottingham
Venue: Fabric Space 2

As part of Sneinton Community Festival Fabric’s Jump Start are opening the studio doors to take part in an open taster session for children aged 7-11 years and their families

It will be an opportunity to see Jump Start perform an informal in-studio sharing of their fun work Catch the Wave and then join in with the group, learning some of the moves and getting a taste of what Jump Start is. It might be something you want to join weekly when it restarts in September.

Fabric’s Jump Start is a creative dance programme for children aged 7 to 11 that takes place at our Nottingham studios on Monday’s 4.15 – 5.15pm during term time.

With a focus on creativity and imagination, Jump Start sessions offer something different for children interested in dance. Packed with games, group work, and creative tasks to get everyone moving and exploring new possibilities. They often get the opportunity to make work for performance, such as their piece Catch the Wave which they performed at Mansfield Palace Theatre
