Our Birmingham January to March 2024 class programme begins on Monday 15 January and runs until Thursday 28 March.

Please note: there are no classes on the bank holiday, Friday 29 March).

All our classes for this term will take place within the Hippodrome campus.  Please come to FABRIC’s reception on Level 5 via the Thorp Street entrance and you will be directed to your studio.  Our FAQs below will answer many of your questions.  Classes are available as pay-as-you-go and you can join us at any time in the term.

How do I purchase FABRIC classes?

Tickets can be pre-booked and pre-paid for online via our FABRIC online booking system or purchased at reception on the day via cash or card, subject to availability.

When you buy online you will need to set up your own account via our booking system. To book classes online please click here to access the account registration process and follow the simple set-up instructions.

Refunds & Transfers

Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded unless the class/event is cancelled.

Concessions

Concessions are available to those who are:

  • Over 60s
  • Students
  • People with disabilities – see below for our access offer

  • Emergency services workers
  • NHS and social care sector workers

  • All 5 classes must be purchased in one transaction online to SAVE £5 on your total order.
  • All 10 classes must be purchased in one transaction online to SAVE £10 on your total order
  • The discount will only be applied on a single transaction to either 5 or 10 classes. If you wish to buy a different number of classes we recommend you purchase in separate transactions so as to gain the maximum discount applicable.
  • PLEASE NOTE: the discount will be applied as £1 off each class.  Once your booking has qualified for a discount a box appears at the top of the basket page to indicate that the discount has been applied.
  • Purchased classes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • This special offer runs from 15 January – 28 March
  • This offer is not valid for any hire classes, dance courses, Birmingham Pro Classes or Urban Fusion with Shaun Cope

AccessibilityOur facilities include:

  • Lift access is available to the studios, with alternatives available in the event of any technical fault.
  • Disabled toilet and adapted shower facility.
  • Wheelchair accessible studio

We recognise that people may have different needs in order to participate and we are happy to make equitable adjustments to our class programme and dance projects to allow you to take part.

Birmingham Class FAQs

All studios are located within the Birmingham Hippodrome. Please come to Level 5 Reception where we will indicate where your class will take place.

To access Level 5 please enter via the Birmingham Hippodrome Thorp Street Entrance Door (this is the entrance before the Stage Door).

You may need to check in with staff at the reception desk in the foyer.

The lift to Level 5 is on the right in the foyer or you can take the metal stairs immediately in front of the entrance.

Please ensure you are on time.  If you are more than 15 minutes late you won’t be able to access the studio.

For all classes, please register at the FABRIC reception desk on Level 5 via the Birmingham Hippodrome Thorp Street entrance.  You will then be directed to your correct studio and changing rooms and toilets.

If you are participating in ballet, please enter at the Thorp Street entrance and use the lift (on the right) or the stairs to go to FABRIC’s reception desk on Level 5.  Once you have registered you will be given a Class Registration Token and be directed to Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Studio 5, which is on Level 3.

In Studio 5, our ballet tutor will collect your Class Registration Token as proof of purchase.

No. Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded or transferred unless the class/event is cancelled by us.

Discounts are applied to one qualifying transaction.  Discounts are shown in your basket as shared across each class in your booking.  For example a £5 discount will be shown as £1 off each of five classes.   Once your booking has qualified for a discount a box appears at the top of the basket page to indicate that the discount has been applied.

Anything comfortable that lets you move freely. You can wear tracksuit bottoms, leggings & t-shirts for most classes. Please wear light-soled trainers or dance shoes (if you have them), black-soled trainers and stiletto heels are not allowed. Bare feet or socks can be worn for contemporary and yoga classes.

Yes, there are changing rooms and shower facilities. There is also a disabled toilet and adapted shower available.

We don’t have lockers so please take all your valuable possessions with you into the studio from the changing rooms.
Yes, please bring your refillable water bottle with you. You can take bottles with you into the studios.
You won’t be allowed to join a class if you’re more than 15 minutes late. This is because you’ll have missed the warm-up, which increases your chance of injury.

We aim to make our classes accessible to everyone regardless of disability. Our facilities include:

  • Lift access is available, with alternatives available in the event of any technical fault.
  • Disabled toilet and adapted shower facility.
  • Wheelchair accessible studio
  • Free access for carer/support worker

How do I purchase FABRIC classes?

Tickets can be pre-booked and pre-paid for online via our online booking system. Tickets can be purchased at reception on the day via cash or card, however this will be subject to availability.
