GEORGE STAMOS (CA)

George Stamos will be in residency at iC4C for two weeks between 8-19 October 2018.

Montréal based, George Stamos is known for performance that is physically dynamic, witty and thought provoking. In his formative years, George was a go-go dancer in London, Amsterdam and NYC and is a graduate of Amsterdam’s School for New Dance Development. George’s work has thus far been centered around gender politics and identity. His upcoming research includes an examination of how dance can be tailored to meet the challenges of people living with Autism.

Using the space at iC4C, George will be carrying out research and development into new works during his first week of residency.

In his second week, George will be joined by artists Stacey Désilier and Jean-Benoit Labrecque as they work towards his open studio sharing, Recurrent Measures on Friday 19 October at iC4C. Tickets for this are available to book with an opportunity to discuss this work with George, Stacey and Jean following the sharing.
