We are proud to support the Arts Award, a nationally recognised qualification that inspires young people to explore, experience and participate in the arts.

Arts Award nurtures autonomy, critical thinking, creativity, and leadership, whether you’re dancing, composing, writing, or curating.

It can be achieved at five levels – four accredited qualifications and an introductory award:

  • Discover (introductory)

  • Explore (Entry Level 3)

  • Bronze (Level 1)

  • Silver (Level 2)

  • Gold (Level 3, equivalent to UCAS A-level grade C and rewarding 35 UCAS points)

Who is it for?

Arts Award is designed for young creatives aged 11–25 who are eager to grow in artistry and arts leadership. It’s ideal for those curious about combining their passion for the arts with recognised qualifications, as well as for learners seeking personal development—building confidence, teamwork, and communication skills, and even shaping a future career in the arts.

Arts Award with FABRIC

FABRIC has been involved in the Arts Award scheme for over five years, proudly supporting participants at Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.

We badge selected productions as Arts Award appropriate, encouraging students to experience live dance, and provide tailored support across all three award levels. Notably, the Gold Award is recognised as equivalent to a grade C A-level on a UCAS form.

The scheme itself is managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England, working in partnership with 10 regional Bridge organisations.
