Jamaal O’Driscoll

Top Rock Tutor

Jamaal O’Driscoll has been deeply rooted in the dance community since 2010, developing strong foundations across hip-hop styles with a particular focus on breaking. Over the years, Jamaal has refined a distinctive approach to Toprock, specialising in rhythm, footwork clarity, musicality and the cultural principles that give the form its power. As a teacher, he is dedicated to helping dancers build confidence, creativity and individuality through Toprock technique and expression.

In 2019, Jamaal founded O’Driscoll Collective to give back to the community through movement, conversation and connection. His teaching practice continues to grow alongside his choreographic work, spanning both indoor and outdoor settings and often rooted in community engagement. Much of Jamaal’s work aims to support mental well-being, celebrate individuality and champion freedom through movement. Examples of these projects can be found under the Production & Learning page on the O’Driscoll Collective website.

Jamaal’s performances and projects have been presented by leading organisations including Strike A Light, 101 Arts, The Place, Birmingham International Dance Festival, Breakin’ Convention, The Lowry, Nott Dance, South East Dance, 18 Hours, Fabric, Open Theatre and more.
