FABRIC announces the 16 artists selected for phase 1 of the 2025 Jerwood Choreographic Research Project (JCRP).

The Jerwood Choreographic Research Project (JCRP) is an initiative by FABRIC and Jerwood Foundation to promote new choreographic research by expanding knowledge and practical approaches to making dance in the UK and beyond.

As long-term and active funders of innovative choreography and dance in the UK, Jerwood is delighted to have enabled FABRIC’s Jerwood Choreographic Research Project. The significance of research in this particular project is recognised as creating a specific pathway to supporting both excellence and emerging talent in the arts.

FABRIC prioritises supporting research without the pressure of needing to develop an artwork, offering a commitment to creating space for artists to explore new innovations in dance and choreography.  We are grateful to Jerwood Foundation for coming with us on this journey, providing investment that shines a light on the importance of time and resources to explore new leads and new discoveries in evolving the art form.

Hannah Sharpe, FABRIC Director of Producing and Programmes
