This short series of conversations with artists, partners, collaborators, and friends marks the launch of our 10-year strategy, inviting them to share their stories about Fabric, the dance sector, and what choreography and art mean to them. Together, these voices reveal and celebrate the social value of dance.

Episode 4 is a two-part deep dive into the legacy, evolution and creative heartbeat of nottdance — one of the UK’s leading festivals for experimental dance.

In Part One, we hear from past and current curators as they reflect on the festival’s rich history and the pivotal role it’s played in shaping the dance landscape in Nottingham and beyond. From radical beginnings to bold reinventions, nottdance has continually challenged expectations of what dance can be — and where it can take us.

In Part Two, the conversation turns towards the present and future. Together, the curators explore the innovative programming, curatorial processes and collaborations that continue to make NottDance a space for discovery, disruption and joy.
