Join Ebnflōh dancers for a Hip-Hop workshop embedded in Ebnflōh’s signature movement style.

The Ebnflōh Dance Company, founded in 2015 by Alexandra ‘Spicey’ Landé, offers a unique choreographic language and artistic vision. The company hopes to make street dance more accessible, and to generate greater interest from a growing audience. The transmission of Hip-Hop language to future generations of dancers remains a focal point and a total commitment to the form.

Here are some elements that will be incorporated in the workshop:

• History of Hip-Hop culture and dance
• Physical training and warm up
• Groove to soul or funk music
• Hip-hop techniques like footwork, body rocks, party dances
• 70’s social dances
• Musicality and how to understand music through movement
• Choreography on specific styles or a mix of several Hip-Hop dance styles
• Freestyle exploration and techniques
• Integration of dramaturgy in dance and pushing boundaries
• Choreographic sequences embedded in Ebnflōh’s signature

This workshop is suitable for ages 16 and over and all abilities.
