Associated Youth Companies

FABRIC’s Centre for Advance Training (CAT) has worked in partnership with organisations in the Midlands to support youth dance companies across the region.

These companies and classes provide quality provision that focuses on technique, skills and creative processes. Many will also have additional opportunities to be involved in intensive projects and performances.

Each company has its own audition requirements. These youth companies aim to inspire and engage young people with potential in dance and are accessed by current CAT students from that county as a mid-week provision.

East Midlands

Next Door Dance Youth Company, Nottingham

Classes aimed at dancers aged 11 – 18

Thursdays 5 – 8.15pm
Technique Class: 5.30 – 6.45pm
Creative Class: 7 – 8.15pm

ACE Youth New Recruits, Birmingham

A class designed to welcome young people at all levels of dance experience. Young people learn and develop the techniques and foundations of dance in a variety of styles.

From ACE Youth New Recruits, students can be invited to join ACE Youth Company who perform both nationally and internationally and have developed a recognised reputation for producing exciting and physical work, inspiring young people to have freedom of expression through dance and creating some of the very best professional artists of the future.
