Sarah Pritchard RSMT RSME

Pilates Tutor

Sarah is an Internationally Registered Somatic Movement Therapist and Somatic Movement Educator with ISMETA as well as a specialist Comprehensive and Remedial Pilates teacher. Trained in an apprenticeship environment within the Pilates Studio by Alan Herdman, the man who brought Pilates to the UK, Sarah’s work is grounded in his guiding principle – to teach the individual body within the Pilates system of movement.  She is also a member of Rebekah’s Rotstein’s faculty for Buff Bones®, a movement system dedicated to bone and joint health and specialising in women’s health in the midlife and beyond.

Her specialised knowledge in the health and wellbeing of women in movement allows her to support clients across every stage of life.  Her extensive study with Eric Franklin forms the technical core of her approach. As one of the world’s few Level 4 Expert Franklin Method® Educators she brings forward his sophisticated understanding of functional anatomy, dynamic imagery and embodiment. This gives her movement work a level of accuracy, responsiveness, and deep somatic awareness of that felt sense that shapes every session she teaches.

As a Somatic Movement Therapist her current clinical work with Daniel Leven adds emotional presence, compassionate attunement, and a grounded polyvagal lens that supports nervous system regulation. Through this she offers movement as a pathway to self understanding, steadiness, and embodied confidence.

Her sessions are grounded in positive movement principles, and aligned with both Somatic and Pilates principles. With deep experience in remedial Pilates and Somatic Movement she designs classes that meet diverse needs, promote long term wellbeing, and help every participant feel capable, connected, and empowered in their body.  Sarah’s work takes her in person across the United Kingdom and virtually across the world, allowing her to share her integrated approach with clients and communities from many different backgrounds.

She teaches at the Fabric’s Centre for Advanced Training and is a One Dance UK healthcare practitioner and keeping dancers healthy is one of her passion projects.  Her teaching brings together lineage that extends directly back to Pilates himself, advanced somatic education working directly with two elders in the field, precise technical training, and therapeutic sensitivity to create movement experiences that are intelligent, expressive, and deeply human.
