We’re excited to announce our extended online dance timetable for 2021 as part of our continuing DXTRA online series.

Our 60 min classes will be presented via ZOOM over 6 weeks from Monday 19 April – Friday 28 May

Classes are priced at £6 or buy 4 classes for £20.

Dancexchange Spring Timetable

MONDAY

Contemporary / 5.30-6.30pm / Myowa Ogunnaike

Explore the basics of contemporary dance by improving coordination, strength, body alignment and flexibility. A fun class learning the basics, full of positive energy, focus, and fun!

TUESDAY

Ballet Flow / 5.30 – 6.30pm / Emily Pottage

Presented in partnership with our friends at Dance4

Focusing on ballet technique, this class will create a deeper knowledge of our own bodies, with a strong emphasis on finding musicality and expression through the movement.

 

Dancehall / 6.30-7.30pm / Marisse Dyer (aka Miss Rose)

Delve into the technique and foundations of Dancehall culture, in addition to short choreos/sequences. (This class is open to women and non-binary folks only)

WEDNESDAY 

Ballet Beginners / 5.30-6.30pm / Jenny Murphy

An introduction to the basics of classical ballet, the concepts of core stability, turn-out, flexibility, posture and placement.

 

Ballet PLUS / 6.45-7.45pm / Jenny Murphy

An invigorating class aimed at those with an existing understanding and knowledge of ballet technique, who are wanting to further develop their skills with a more challenging class.

THURSDAY

Commercial / 6-7pm / Anna Hucknall 

Presented in partnership with our friends at Dance4

This class consists of personalised choreography that is full of flare, strong dynamics and attitude.  It is an open-level class for those who want to learn, progress, have fun and be pushed. If you’re up for a challenge, then this is the class for you! Suitable for beginners.

FRIDAY

Vogue / 6-7pm / Jason Andrew Guest

This class is proudly supported by UNMUTED and SHOUT

Learn to vogue, walk (or wheel) and bring it to the runway with Jason Andrew Guest Mutha of the House Of Myztique & Legendary daughter of the House of Ghetto. Learn the fundamentals of the vogue dance styles and the ballroom culture it comes from. So strike a pose and join us for an introduction to voguing.
