Inscribed in “Me” is a project that is centred on developing Alethia’s solo work-in-progress that speaks of personal, historical & collective trauma.

Utilising movement & song, the work uses autoethnographic narratives to explore trauma in connection with race, gender & identity and self-authoring alongside developing current research into a full-length work, and  adapting it for outdoors & digital formats. Facilitated through workshops and other public events engaging with Black Womxn, in London, Leeds and Nottingham.

An extract of the work was performed at Sadler’s Wells’ Wild Card in January 2022, and the full work premiered at The Place in April 2022.
