Join Ioney Smallhorne, a writer, poet, film maker and educator, for these creative writing workshops.

A ceremony where we bring our attention to family, heritage, as we honour and celebrate the lessons learned from those who have come before us. Ioney will explore themes of gratitude, passing on, and the legacy of what we hope to leave behind.

Taking place at St Anns allotments. Details of which allotment will be sent ahead of the event happening. If you require assistance getting to the allotments we can arrange a taxi for you (going from iC4C), you will just need to check the box for a taxi when completing your booking for this event.


This event is part of Transition + Transit, curated by Dwayne Church-Simms: a collection of works that explore movement, change, the stories we share and the objects that define our past, present, and future. Transition + Transit is FABRIC’s contribution to Transform, a City Takeover, a collaboration with New Art Exchange and Backlit, Bonington Gallery, Broadway, City Arts, FABRIC, Lakeside Arts, New Perspectives Theatre, Nottingham City of Literature, Nottingham Contemporary, Nottingham Playhouse, Primary, Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall and UK New Artists.
