About the Birmingham space

    • 12m x 12m
    • Studios 1 and 2 have a divide that can be removed to form a double studio that is 12m x 24m
    • For dance activity, the capacity is 30 people in a single studio and 60 people in the double studio
    • Fully sprung floors with non-slip Harlequin dance flooring
    • Full-length mirrors
    • Air conditioning
    • Sound equipment including Bluetooth, AUX and MP3 options
    • Male, Female and Non-Gendered changing facilities, including showers and toilets.
    • Male and Female with accessible changing.
    • WiFi
  • We’re committed to providing an accessible environment.

    • There is a lift to Level 5 within the building, accessed via the Thorp Street entrance.

    There is an adapted shower and toilet in the changing room
    If you have any further access requirements please inform staff when booking.

Our hire rates

NOTE: All hires and rates are subject to an agreement based on specific hire requirements.

Staffing fee of £17.50 + VAT per hour may be added for front-of-house personnel, if the hire is outside normal hours of cover or extra staff are needed due to the nature of the hire. This will vary between our Birmingham & Nottingham sites.

  • Single studio = £25.00 per hour + VAT

    Suitable for most activities, including rehearsals, workshops and staff training

    For a new client there will be a 10% discount applied to four subsequent bookings

  • Single Studio = £50.00 per hour +VAT

    Covers large companies, charities, arts and public sector organisations.

    For a new client, there will be a 10% discount applied to four subsequent bookings.

  • Funded Dance Sector rate

    Single Studio = £17.00 per hour +VAT

    A discounted rate for dance organisations, companies, groups, artists and practitioners in receipt of organisational or project funding – including dance NPOs.

    Dance & movement related, non-commercial activity only.

  • Unfunded Dance Sector – Community and Student rate. Non-commercial use

    Single Studio = £10.00 per hour +VAT

    A discounted rate for dance organisations, companies, groups, artists, practitioners and students not in receipt of organisational or project funding.

    Dance and movement-related, non-commercial activity only.

  • We also offer two schemes for Midlands-based dance artists and practitioners to access free studio space. For information, visit: Blank Space

Terms & Conditions

Please read our Terms and Conditions in full before hiring or attending our studios.

Studio users must not wear outdoor shoes, stiletto shoes or black-soled trainers in order to prevent damage to the studio floor. Professional dance heels are permitted, if unsure please contact a member of staff.

Our studios are available for hire on Saturdays and Sundays
