To affect significant change Fabric is keen to seek out relationships and partnerships that are aligned with our curatorial values and guiding principles.
We wish to harness and re-energise our role within local, national and international networks. We are working to review the state of the sector and understand the priorities for artists and audiences, building an evidence base to inform decision making and understanding of where our interventions can create most value in creating systems change.
Currently Fabric is a member of:-
- Nottingham Cultural Strategic Partnership, where Fabric is contributing to strategic discourse and forming place based strategy, including ChalleNGe – LCEP engagement to strengthen local offer to young people.
- Culture Central, engaging in Section 114 campaigning, private sector lobbying and professional development programmes through IPSO funded programmes.
- Culture Forward, the University of Birmingham programme to contribute to broader strategic actions.
- Environmental Collective working groups in both Nottingham and Birmingham (inc Green Team and Tenants meetings and Theatre Green Book sessions). Fabric is contributing to cultural sector strategy to develop individual and collective actions.
Fabric is collaborating with sector partners Serendipity, and People Dancing, to establish a Midlands Dance Powerhouse. This partnership will announce and begin work on collective action to contributing to strengthening the growing dance sector in the Midlands.
