We are a Midlands-based strategic dance development organisation with over 60 years of expertise in dance education, participation and industry development.
Our high-quality programmes are delivered by skilled dance specialists, offering opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to engage with dance. Through an extensive outreach and education programme, we connect schools, communities and participants with the professional dance sector. We also deliver Continued Professional Development (CPD) for dance and PE teachers, helping them build the skills and confidence to inspire the next generation.
Alongside this, we lead the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT), providing bespoke, high-quality training for talented young people who want to develop their potential in dance.
Fabric continues to provide an excellent programme that has a real impact on our pupils’ confidence, creativity and enjoyment of dance.
Our offer
Our Schools and PRU packages can offer formal educational settings the chance to have high impact, specialist dance sessions delivered by skilled professional dance practitioners who become embedded into the school community, creating a long-lasting cultural partnership.
Reaching children and young people through dance can start through our bespoke educational packages which can include;
- Programmes tailored to your school needs, values and curriculum
- Culturally representative dance professionals
- CPD sessions for teachers to further embed dance into the school independently
- Taster workshops for Fabric’s Centre for Advanced Training for ages 11-18
- Opportunities for children and young people to perform
- Promotion of well-being, encouraging social interaction and empathy
- Opportunities to visit Fabric sites
At Fabric we know budgets are limited and ever changing, we will work with you to create a bespoke offer to engage your pupils into dance and to enhance cultural value into the curriculum.
Each year, we also have a small amount of one-off workshops that we can provide at either a small cost of for free.

Continual Professional Development (CPD)
We deliver annual inspiring CPD opportunities for teachers and freelancers. These usually take place in the Autumn term to help teachers prepare for the academic year ahead.
