Fabric’s 2022–2023 Residency Programme supported seven artists and companies across two strands: Open Research and Create
Open Research, which enabled exploration of new approaches to dance, movement and choreography, and Create, which supported projects that had already undertaken research and development and were entering the final stages of creation.
Through funding, space and dedicated support, the residencies gave artists the opportunity to deepen their practice, develop new work and bring ambitious ideas to fruition.

Open Research Residency Artists
This opportunity is for research into new ways of thinking about and doing dance, movement, and choreography with an emphasis on ideas that need time and space to explore, test and develop, rather than the creation of new work.

Create Residency Artists
This opportunity is for projects that have already undertaken research and development processes and could benefit from a residency to support the final stages of creation. All of these include public showcasing and future touring work supported by a range of additional partners and funders.
