Research

Fabric’s research explores what dance is, what it can become, and the impact it has on people, communities and the wider cultural sector.

Through dance research and development projects and programmes, we create space for curiosity, collaboration and critical thinking, supporting new ideas that shape the future of dance.

Working with artists, partners and communities, we investigate the physical, emotional, social, cultural and curatorial impact of dance. By sharing knowledge, testing new approaches and building evidence, our research informs creative practice, influences the sector and contributes to meaningful, lasting change.
