Regional U.Dance 2024 Shortlisted Groups

This year’s U.Dance regional events took place throughout March and April in Birmingham, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, and Nottinghamshire.

Each platform brought together young dancers to showcase their work and talent on stages across the Midlands infront of a selection panel of dance experts.

A number of groups have been shortlisted for One Dance UK to make the final decision for U.Dance National Festival 2024.

The shortlisted groups are:

  • Derbyshire (Interface): Bethany Smith and Bounceback
  • Nottinghamshire (Episodes): Next Door Dance Youth Company and Foxwood Academy
  • Lincolnshire (True Motion): Harry & Bo and RedXCo 
  • Leicestershire (Mass Movement): Moving Together Youth and Ignite Dance
  • Northamptonshire (N-Dance): Defined Dance Company and The Senior Elites, NSB
  • West Midlands (Birmingham): Our Lady St ChadLinden Youth, 2Faced Youth and Motionhouse Youth

The final selected groups will have the opportunity to take their work to Liverpool for the National Festival happening between Friday 12 and Sunday 14 July 2024.  The selected groups will be joined by other youth dance groups selected from across the country to celebrate the wealth of talent within the UK’s youth dance scene. One Dance UK have invited Darby Dance from the West Midlands platform to perform as a guest slot at the Young Creatives platform happening as part of the U.Dance National Festival!

Watch this space for the final annoucement from One Dance UK as to who has been selected from the shortlisted groups to represent both the East and West Midands at the U.Dance National Festival 2024.
