Applications for Applause Youth Dance Festival 2025 are open

Applications are now open for the Applause Youth Dance Festival 2025 the U.Dance regional platform for the Midlands, celebrating youth dance.

Led by Fabric, this U.Dance regional platform for the Midlands will happen in one venue over one weekend in Birmingham.  Performances take place on both the Saturday and Sunday.

U.Dance is a national programme led by One Dance UK and has been part of our youth dance offer in the East and West Midlands for ten amazing years.

Together with One Dance UK, Fabric aims to present high quality, innovative and ambitious youth dance. Groups from a variety of settings are welcome to take part, including school and college groups; youth dance companies; private dance schools & individuals

Our studios at the Birmingham Hippodrome will welcome young dancers from every background, dance genre and level of experience to celebrate dance in a vibrant and colourful wave of youth dance activity.

Saturday 22 to Sunday 23 March 2025 will be filled with workshops, masterclasses, performances, and talks on pathways into dance as a career.

Applications: Opens Wednesday 23 October 2024
Deadline:  Closes Wednesday 29 January 2025

Performers must be aged 11 to 19 and up to 25 for disabled dancers.

Additional bursaries for travel can be offered where needed.

Groups and individuals selected to be part of Applause Youth Dance Festival will include an equal number of groups from both East and West Midlands.

Those selected to be part of Applause Youth Dance Festival will have the opportunity to go on to perform at the U.Dance National Festival in 2025.

To be considered as a group or individual you’ll need to follow the guidance, then apply by submitting an application and video footage of the work you intend to perform.
