dance moves people: a 10 year strategy, sets out our vision for the next ten years.

It is both a strategy and an invitation: a statement of intent that defines how we will act, and an open call for collaboration with the many people, communities, and partners who can, and do, shape dance.

dance moves people has grown out of who we are and what we believe dance can do, socially, culturally and politically. It outlines our commitment to making dance more visible, accessible and connected across the Midlands and beyond. And whilst we recognise that strategy alone cannot move people — it is people themselves who give dance its meaning and power.

This is the beginning of a journey. Over the next decade, we will return to test and evolve this strategy with those who work alongside us.
