Join our Team as Assistant Producer

Fabric is creating an opportunity to join its busy Producing team as Assistant Producer, based in our Birmingham site.

Working as an active part of the Producing team, the Assistant Producer will help to produce a range of activity, with a particular focus on our schools’ programme, youth dance platform and class programme.

If you’re a freelancer looking to be part of an organisation, or a professional looking for flexibility to support your work/life balance, this one-day-a-week position might appeal to you. We are looking for a dedicated arts professional with experience of project managing performances in a range of settings, delivering projects that support the development of artists, and project managing dance events, partnerships and projects that deliver meaningful, inclusive, youth and community engagement.

With a good working knowledge of the UK Dance sector, and an understanding of the needs of professional artists, companies and youth and community participants, you will need strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective organisational and administration skills; a commitment to inclusive working practices; and a collaborative, positive, proactive, and solution-focused approach.

If you feel you fit our brief, we’d love to hear from you!

Fabric thrives on the passion, creativity, and commitment of all the people we work with, and we are committed to celebrating difference in all aspects of our makeup, governance and work output. We strive to be an inclusive organisation. We recognise the positive values of diversity, promote equality, and challenge all forms of discrimination. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates reflecting a broad range of voices, opinions, and experiences across age, class, disability, gender, race, religion, and sexual orientation.
