FABRIC’s Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) is working with Lowry CAT to host a FREE Yuva Gati dance experience workshop in South Asian dance.

Interested in South Asian dance styles? We invite you to take part in our Yuva Gati dance workshop at The Lowry. This workshop welcomes those without previous experience in South Asian dance.

Learn more about the National Yuva Gati programme, engage in a practical dance workshop led by expert tutors, and meet like-minded young people who love to dance.

What is Yuva Gati?

Yuva Gati (‘Youth Movement’) is a dance training programme for dance styles from South Asian heritage. The training programme includes, but is not limited to, styles such as: Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Bhangra, Bollywood, Kandyan, Nepalese, and more.

Applications to join the Yuva Gati dance training programme are open to all young people aged 11 to 16 across the UK. All levels of experience within South Asian dance practices are invited to apply.


Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) Yuva Gati is funded by the Department of Education Music and Dance Scheme, delivered by FABRIC in partnership with Sampad Arts and Heritage. Designed to assist those interested in South Asian dance practices regardless of their personal circumstance, and share world-class specialist training as part of a broad and balanced education.
