Learn the foundations (basics) of hip hop dance with Marshon Dance Company teachers. Focusing on the bounce, rock, groove, isolations, feeling and social dances.

Learn and understand the style, the music, the culture and history of hip hop dance. You’ll also have the chance to learn ways of helping you freestyle. Occasionally classes will also include learning routines comprised of the basics, to help improve your confidence in the style.

This is an open level class which welcomes all levels of experience.

Suitable for ages 16 and over.

    Tia Matthews joined Marshon Dance Company in 2016 as part of their original training and performance team. Through Marshon, she has trained to become a teacher and her first professional dance job was with SIX The Musical at Birmingham Hippodrome.
