Dance in Vancouver (DIV) is a biennial curated event, running from 20-24 November, produced by The Dance Centre, British Columbia’s resource centre for dance, and draws presenters from across Canada and around the world.

Since 1997, DIV showcases the huge variety of contemporary dance that can be found on the West Coast, offering a carefully structured and intensive programme with performances, informal studio presentations, events and dialogues. It provides a forum for exploring the potential for collaborations with artists and organisations, and an opportunity to learn about an upcoming new generation of choreographers, as well as to see established artists in British Colombia.

The FABRIC International supported artists will be joining Anthea Lewis, founder of Blulilli Projects UK, who has been invited by Dance in Vancouver as the 2024 edition’s guest international curator, in association with Dance Umbrella and FABRIC International.

This is an exciting opportunity to experience the contemporary dance scene of Canada’s West Coast in five packed days of performances, studio presentations, events and dialogues. DIV is a stimulating forum in which to explore collaborations with artists and organizations, learn about emerging and established choreographers, and discover the creativity and diversity of a vibrant and beautiful city.     Anthea Lewis
