In 2023, Fabric, alongside regional partners, hosted six U.Dance Midlands platforms across the region, celebrating the creativity, energy and diversity of young dancers from across the Midlands.
Following an independent application process, more than 50 groups were selected from over 70 applications to take part in performances and celebrations in Birmingham, Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, Northampton and Nottingham between March and April 2023.
The platforms showcased a vibrant mix of dance styles, genres and approaches, bringing together some of the region’s most exciting young talent and providing opportunities for dancers to perform, connect and celebrate their achievements.
U.Dance is a national programme of events created in association with One Dance UK, offering young people high-quality dance opportunities across the UK. Through U.Dance, young dancers can explore their creativity, experience performance, discover more about dance pathways and celebrate the joy of dancing together.
