Fabric operates across two sites in the Midlands:
Birmingham
Within the Birmingham Hippodrome campus, in the Southside district of Birmingham. Here we have office space and well-equipped professional dance studios. Operating within an established building-based partnership with Birmingham Hippodrome, Birmingham Royal Ballet and Dance Hub Birmingham, benefitting from a range of shared services and in-house expertise.
Nottingham
At the Space 2 building opposite King Edward park in Nottingham city centre, where we have office space and three state of the art dance studios, alongside meeting and networking spaces.

For dance classes, studio hires or meetings with staff
Please arrive via the Thorp Street entrance to Birmingham Hippodrome and you can either take the lift or the stairs to our reception on Level 5.
For Dance Class Participants
Arrive for all classes via the Thorp Street entrance to Birmingham Hippodrome (this is the entrance before the Stage Door) and then take the lift or the stairs to our reception at level 5.
The lift to Level 5 is on the right in the foyer or you can take the metal stairs immediately in front of the entrance at Thorp Street.
Once at the reception, you will be guided to the relevant studio.

From Victoria Square walk down Hill Street. Cross over Smallbrook Queensway junction and carry straight on to Hurst Street. For classes turn left onto Thorp Street and the Thorp Street entrance is clearly signed 200 metres on the left. For theatre performances, continue to the plaza for the main entrance to the Birmingham Hippodrome and Patrick Studio.

Birmingham New Street Station
Follow the signs for the Southside exit. This will take you on to Hill Street. Walk down the hill and carry on straight over the double crossing at the Smallbrook Queensway juntion and carry on to Hurst Street. Then turn right onto Thorp Street for Fabric studios which can be accessed via the Thorp Street entrance.

Moor Street Station
On exiting the station use the crossing on the left hand side and walk towards the Bullring. Walk underneath the underpass and on exiting continue to walk to the traffic lights. Turn left onto Smallbrook Queensway and then turn left onto Hurst Street. Then turn right onto Thorp Street for Fabric’s studios which can be accessed via the Thorp Street entrance.

The Bullring is on many major bus routes in and out of the City Centre and is just a few minutes walk from Fabric’s studios and the Birmingham Hippodrome. Use the Transport for West Midlands Journey Planner to check bus routes.

The closest West Midlands Metro tram stop is the New Street Grand Central station. From the tram stop Fabric is roughly a 5-6 minute walk. Exit the tram stop toward the train station concourse. Follow the signs to the Southside exit and down the hill. Cross over the Smallbrook Queensway junction on to Hurst Street. Turn right onto Thorp Street and the entrance to Fabric is 200 metres on the left signed Thorp Street entrance.

From the airport take the free Air-Rail Link from the terminal to Birmingham International Train Station. There are direct trains to Birmingham New Street Station taking approximately 10-15 minutes. It is a short 5-6 minute walk from New Street Station to Fabric’s studios. From the station concourse follow the signs to the Southside exit and head down the hill. Cross over Smallbrook Queensway and walk straight onto Hurst Street and turn right onto Thorp Street. The entrance to Fabric is signed Thorp Street entrance approximately 200 metres on the left.

From Old Market Square
Walking: 15 minutes
Walk up Long Row, to the left of The Council House, and onto Pelham Street. Carry on down Goose Gate and across Hockley until you get to Sneinton Market. Take the left-hand route across Sneinton Market place, in front of the Victoria Leisure Centre, and cross Bath Street at the zebra crossing onto Handel Street. Walk until the junction with Carlton Road and cross over towards King Edward park using the pedestrian crossing on the left. Bear right towards the south side of King Edward park and take the first road on the left; this is Dakeyne Street and you will be able to see the Space 2 building directly in front of you.

Space 2 is located on the east side of Nottingham city centre.
Arrival
The Space 2 building, which spans the length of the first half of Dakeyne Street and is built on a slight incline.Parking
Space 2 has shared access to two blue badge spaces. These spaces operate on a first come, first served basis as spaces cannot be reserved. There are on-street parking bays directly outside Space 2 on Dakeyne Street which are free for two-hours and also paid for parking on the surrounding roads. Information on parking for surrounding roads can be found here.Visitors have also found the RingGo app useful when searching for places to park near the Space 2 building.

Option 1
You can use the 24/25 bus (Lilac Line) from the city centre at King Street Stop K3 heading to Arnold and Westdale Lane and get off at Handel Street Stop SN07. This journey takes approximately 5 – 7 minutes. After getting off the bus, cross Carlton Road towards King Edward park. Turn right and take the first road on the left, Dakeyne Street.Option 2
You can also take the 27 bus (Lilac Line) from the city centre at King Street Stop K3 (same as the 24/25) heading to Carlton and get off at Handel Street Stop SN07. This journey takes approximately 5 – 7 minutes. After getting off the bus cross the road to Kind Edwards park and take a left onto Dakeyne Street.Option 3
Take Green Line number 8 from Nottingham Railway Station (Stop number 1) then catch the 100 Pathfinder from Victoria Centre Stop W4. Alight at the Handel Street bus stop SN06. -
From the north of the city, catch the tram towards Clifton South or Toton Lane and get off at The Lace Market; trams depart every 6 minutes. From The Lace Market tram stop you will have a 15 minute walk through Hockley and Sneinton Market (see walking route below).

From Nottingham Train Station
Walking: 20 Minutes.
From Station Street, walk along Trent Street. Turn right and walk along Canal Street towards London Road roundabout. Take Lower Parliament Street exit off the roundabout and walk all the way along Lower Parliament Street past Motorpoint Arena then turn right down Carlton Road until you get to King Edward Park. Once you arrive at King Edward Park take a right up Dakeyne Street, immediately before the park.

From East Midlands Airport:
Via public transport: 1hr 2minutes. Catch the Skylink bus outside the terminal building to Clifton South Park & Ride and then take the tram from Clifton South to The Lace Market Stop.
Walking (from Lace Marke stop): From The Lace Market tram stop you will have a 15 minute walk through Hockley and Sneinton Market.
Via car: 28 Minutes.
